Motorola One Vision Review

Just near the price tags of G7 mates, Motorola One Vision has entered as the improved version of all Moto’s 2018 devices. It is an improved version of Motorola One which was released in 2018. The new device features a better display which bigger and sharper, decent chipset under the hood, the same goes for the cameras and long battery life. But, is it a worthy option to have? Let’s check it out in the Motorola One Vision review below:

Design and display

Motorola looks similar to the Moto One and has lost the touch of Apple’s iPhone X. The only thing it has carried forward with Apple’s iPhone X design is the capsule-shaped camera set up on the back panel. On the back panel, you see a plastic surface which keeps the Android status on top. You also get to see a fingerprint sensor on the back which is very responsive and very easy to reach. It looks good and sits very comfortable in hands. Yes, it is not too premium as it doesn’t have any metal back surface. But, looking at the price point, it is understandable. On the rim, you see a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. You can easily buy this online using Mobikwik Coupons with great deals.

On the front, you can see that Moto has bid adieu to iPhone X’s notch and come up with punch hole design- just like Samsung S10. So, there is around selfie camera on the top left corner of the display which makes this device look more beautiful. Moto has gone for a bezel-less display which is good to see as Moto is upping its game too. The Motorola One Vision’s display comes with a 21:9 aspect ratio which we saw in the Sony Xperia 10.

Coming to the display, the Motorola One Vision packs a 6.3-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ 1080 x 2520 resolution. So, Moto has made the things right by ditching 720p resolution display. The colors come out vivid and bright with perfect sharpness. It is a crisp and big display which is definitely a USP of this device.

Performance

Under the hood, the Motorola One Vision comes with Samsung’s Exynos 9609 which is very strange. The company has gone for Samsung’s chip instead of the Qualcomm chip. The chipset is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be extended via a microSD card up to 1TB. It is not having a high-end processor but does the job with ease. While talking about gaming, this device can play games like PUBG or Asphalt 9 with ease on medium graphics. It is not the world’s greatest phone when it comes to performance, but it easily serves the purpose- both multitasking and daily tasking.

The Motorola One Vision runs Android 9 Pie out of the box and is enrolled under Android One programme too which makes it a stock Android device.

Battery Life

Motorola One Vision comes with 3,500mAh high-capacity battery which is a decent pack. Having a faster chipset under the hood and big sharp display, One Vision needed a big battery life and it has got one. It is sufficient to give you one day of juice with ease. Thanks to Motorola’s TurboPower fast charging technology, the device gets charged up very quickly. Out of the box, you get to have a 15W TurboPower charger. In 15 minutes of charge, this one can juice up from 0 to 20 percent. Comparing it to Honor 20 Lite, this device has a similar battery results on 90-minute 720p looping video test. In terms of battery life various options available in the market and one can buy those using Paytm Mall Cashback with great deals.

Cameras

Coming to the cameras, this device has a dual rear camera setup including a 48MP f/1.7 sensor with optical image stabilization with a 5MP secondary camera as a depth sensor. Motorola is not known for its cameras but this one is an above par bar. It is not like Honor 20 Lite with the triple camera setup. Lacking a telephoto lens or wide-angle lens is disappointing as these things are very popular in the new phones. What matters the most- it comes with some nice images with a good amount of detail. For selfies, there is a 25MP f/2.0 front shooter. The images coming out from selfie camera are decent and well-defined both in daylight and low lighting scenes.

Final Verdict

The Motorola One Vision is a great device and is a nice upgrade to Motorola One. It is way better than Motorola One and Moto G7 series. It comes with a bigger and sharper display but carries a weird 21:9 aspect ratio. Also, when it comes to cameras, this device doesn’t shine out of all. When it comes to performance, it is a great device which can handle everything with ease. The biggest USP of this device is its stock Android feature. So, if you are looking for a decent all-rounder which keeps you away from cheap elements like custom UIs, then the Motorola One Vision is worth considering.
